Project Description

The Touchcast Metaverse Podium is the next-generation communications hardware device for the future of hybrid communications. Podium allows you to perform, give presentations or give Oscars from anywhere in the world. It blurs the boundaries of presence between the physical world and the metaverse, opening up the possibility of free movement in two clicks. During this project, the enclosure and mechanism for lifting the screen were designed and created from scratch by UDTech.

Device

The podium is the world’s most advanced physical event. When remote speakers take the stage, the motorized holographic display rises to deliver a photo-realistic image of the presenter. And when in-person speakers are present, the display elegantly disappears into Podium’s sleek casing.

The speaker may share their screen remotely and it gets projected via the HDMI outputs to the room screen. If a second screen is available a brilliant closeup image is rendered showing the face of the speaker and the blurred background of the actual room the Touchcast Metaverse Podium is in. In addition, in-person speakers can control their presentation using any connected Microsoft Surface device.
